How do I register for StudentHub?

Registering on StudentHub is quick, easy, and FREE! All you have to do is fill out the one step registration form. Be sure to provide a valid email address and choose a name and password that will be easy for you to remember.

Will I need to use my credit card to verify identity?

Yes, your credit card information is necessary. In order to verify that you are 18 years old or over you will have to enter a valid credit card number. Your card will NOT BE CHARGED! Again this is for verification purposes only

What information do I need to include in registration?

The registration process will include your real name and address, a valid email address, and a valid telephone number. This is the phone number that will be used when you are going to speak to an advisor. You will also need to verify your age by entering a valid credit card number.

Can I have more than one account per name or email address?

Each user is only allowed one account. Having more than one account on StudentHub is strictly forbidden, this is stated in the Member Agreement.

Why do I have to verify my account?

This is to ensure that all your information is correct and you are over the age of $18.

Do I have to enter a Credit Card Number?

Yes, as previously mentioned you must enter a valid credit card number to verify you are over 18 years of age. Your card will NOT BE CHARGED! This is strictly for verification purposes.

The call did not connect but I lost my 5 FREE minutes.

Because you can only use your 5 FREE minutes on your first call, they automatically get taken out when the call starts. If for some reason this happens to you. You can email a StudentHub representative and we will look at your call history and add the 5 FREE minutes back to your account. This only applies to calls that last less than 1 minute.

How do I leave feedback?

It is very important to leave feedback after you receive a consultation. This way the lawyer and other users can see what you thought of the consultation. To leave feedback all you have to do is go to the My Account page and click on “Leave Feedback.” Once this opens you can leave a rating 1 through 5, 5 being the best, and a brief message for the legal expert. It is important to be honest when leaving feedback, that way a lawyer can know what areas of their consultations to change and a user can anticipate the type or consultation they will be getting.

How long does it take for an e-check to clear?

When using an e-check as a method of payment it is important to note that the check will take 4 to 5 business days to clear. Meaning the money will not be available to you until the check has cleared.

Why Can’t I Get Connected?

There are a few reasons why you would not be able to get connected when trying to make a call as a user. The first reason is that you have not verified your account by entering a valid credit card. Also if you are an international caller, you will have to follow the special instructions for entering your phone number when you register. You can check this by going to your account and selecting Change Personal Info. Also you may have entered your phone number incorrectly. This can also be checked by going to Change Personal Info. Lastly, you may have a zero balance, and will need to make a deposit before making a call.

What Happens if I am not Happy with My Consultation?

At StudentHub.com we hope that you always have satisfactory experience. If there is a reason why this doesn’t happen we will refund your Account for up to $25. It is important that you also leave feedback, so the therapist or counselor knows how you felt after the consultation was over, and also so future users know what type of consultation they will be getting if they call that therpist

How do I choose the right Tutor for me?

Depending on type of advice you want to get, will depend on who you want to receive a consultation from. However it is very helpful to read the feedback left by other users. Also all the top rated legal experts and tutors are featured on the homepage and have top placement within the category pages.

Will my phone number and name be disclosed to the tutors who contact me?

No, your private information will stay completely confidential. The tutors or legal experts will not be contacting you directly. You will be connected to your therapist through StudentHub when you hit the Talk Live button. The tutor will not have any of your personal information, and you will not have any of the tutor’s personal information. The only information the legal expert or tutor will be able to view is your StudentHub user name

How can I check my messages?

To check your messages, login to StudentHub and go to My Messages. If you have a message it will tell you how you have an unread message. To view the message click on it and the message will come up.

How can I write and send a message to a StudentHub user or Tutor?

To write and send a message to a user or a tutor, simply click on Send Message in My Messages found on the My Account page.

Who can I leave feedback for and how do I do it?

As a user you are allowed to leave feedback for a tutor or legal expert you received services from. You can do so by going to My Account and clicking on Leave Feedback. A list of legal experts and tutors that you has consultations with will come up, click on “Leave Feedback.” You will then be able to rate the call and leave a comment.

How can I deposit funds to StudentHub?

You can buy credit at StudentHub by going to My Balance section in My Account and entering the credit card you wish to use to add funds to your account. The credit card number you enter will automatically be saved after you enter it, making it easy to add funds in one single step.

How can I withdraw funds from StudentHub?

Withdrawals can be made by going to My Account My Balance Withdraw Money.

How can I change my password, email and/or personal information?

To change your password, email or personal info, simply go to Change Personal Info in My Account and update. Your member name, first and last name cannot be changed.

Legal experts and tutors

What steps do I take to become a Tutors or legal expert on StudentHub?

To become a tutor or legal expert you have to be able to give support and help to your clients. To take the first step, please register by clicking “Give Advice,” found on the bottom of the homepage. After you register you can log in and create your tutor Profile. We have provided you with a To Do List to follow to ensure you do not miss an important step when setting up your profile

How can I update my tutor profile?

As a tutor or tutor expert you can update your profile on Advisor Profile section of My Account. You can update your description, introduction, browse images or upload your own designed page. You can do this at anytime, just by simply logging on to your account, or calling a StudentHub representative.

How can I view and update my clients?

To view and update your clients or callers, visit the My Clients section after logging in to My Account. Here you can add the StudentHub users who have called you for a legal expert and will be calling again.

How can I create a schedule that my clients can see?

As a tutor advisor you can create a schedule by going to My Account and clicking on the My Schedule section. There you can set days, time and status that work best for you. Please really think about what hours you want to be available to take calls. It is extremely important that you answer all calls that come to you.

Can I Change my Schedule?

Yes you can change your schedule at any time. You do this by logging on to StudentHub and going to My Account. Then select My Schedule and make the appropriate changes. It is important to make adjustments to your schedule when necessary to ensure that you are answering every call from the users.

What happens if I miss a call?

StudentHub has a very strict policy with missed calls. We have installed a program that scans the site for missed calls. Any tutors or legal experts who miss calls will be taken off the site for 3 days as a probation period. During that time your profile will not be seen by users and you will be unable to receive calls. If this happens 3 times your profile will be taken off the site indefinitely. That is why it is imperative that you set a schedule that works for.

What happens when I am giving a consultation and someone else tries to call me?

Your status will show as busy when you are taking a call. Should someone try to call you while you are giving a consultation, they will receive a message that you are currently busy and to try again later or schedule an appointment. This will not show up as a missed call.

What is “My Status” and how can I use/change it?

When logged in as a tutor or legal expert, in My Account section of StudentHub you can set your Status. This will tell the users your current status. The statuses you can pick from are: Available and Not Available. Your potential clients also have an option to schedule calls with you in accordance with your schedule and Status. It is important to remember when you are making your schedule that you also have to set your status as well. If you are going to unavailable during a scheduled time you can do two things. One is log on to StudentHub and manually change your status to unavailable. Two, you can call (877) 543-3588 and follow the prompts and change your status over the phone. If you are having a problem doing this you can contact a StudentHub representative and they can do it for you.

What is a Featured Tutor and how can I become one?

Featured Tutors are tutors whose profiles are up on the home page and first spots of every category. To take one of those spots you must participate and win an auction for the desired spot through Bidding for Top in My Account.

Why am I not getting any calls?

There are a couple reasons why you may not be getting calls.
1. Make sure all your profile information, like your phone number is correct. Also make sure you have a schedule set for yourself. If you don’t have a schedule set you will show as unavailable.
2. Sometimes the reason you are not getting calls is simply because it is completely up to the users on who want to get a consultation from. StudentHub had no control over who the users pick. In order to attract users to your profile constantly keep it updated and refreshed.

How come my profile is not saving when I add something to it?

Two things can be happening. One you are not hitting update before saving your profile, so the profile is automatically not saved because you have not updated the changes made to it. Also, sometimes there are glitches or “bugs” in the system that cannot be detected previous to the problem occurring. Most often these glitches are random and easily fixed. If this should happen to you please contact the StudentHub representatives through email to notify them of the problem so it can be fixed immediately.

Why are the pictures I put on my profile not showing up?

The size of the picture plays a big role in this. If the picture is too big it will not show up on your profile. Also sometimes the format of the picture is not compatible with the site. Jpeg files usually work the best when putting pictures up on your profile.

How does bidding work?

The bidding feature is not currently running on the site. All legal experts will be notified when bidding starts and exact instructions will be provided at that time.

Why can’t I find my profile anywhere on the site?

The only reason your profile would not be on the site is if you missed a call from a user. As stated previously all legal experts who miss call are put on a 3 day suspension. If you are unsure if you missed a call you can email a StudentHub representative and they will let you know when you missed a call and when your profile will be put back up on the site.

If I Want to refer a friend for StudentHub, how do I do it? What choice of rewards do I have?

If you already have an account with StudentHub simply go to Refer a Friend on the Home page, above the main menu and enter your and your friend’s information. You will get paid $50 when you friend registers and becomes a paying caller on the site. For further terms and conditions you can read the Affiliate Agreement

How do I view the most recent promotions of StudentHub?

When you register, make sure you mark “Send me Promotions” checkmark to receive emails with most recent deals and discounts. StudentHub also provides its users and legal experts access to all of its most current promotions on the Promotions page, found on the homepage. This page will let users and legal experts know exactly what promotions the site is running and when they will expire. In addition to this StudentHub has banners all over the site showing the most current promotions.
